WATER LILY

A Doctor I work with, he has all boys. and he loves his wife. First and foremost because she's his everything. And secondly because she has endured years of filth and human in a house full of boys. He's going on about her one day, and said "And I walked into this room full of boys running and jumping around, and there's my wife in Blue and Silver just sitting still. My own little Water Lily in a pond full of frogger's"

EVERGREEN DEW

So Light, So Soft. The cold crisp mist required for dew to form is mysteriously wanting. The combination of deep, fragrant, breaths of fresh air and dew condensing on your lips draw you ever deeper into the forest. The way is littered with the bones of victims past, so you only dare go so far. Wondering into that forest without a clear path out and no true guide forward is a fools quest. So you breath deep and slow, as you enjoy the mystery of what you can never have.

MOM DUKES

Mothers of all kinds have always had to put up with their son's shit. They know we can do and be better but sometimes, they just stop and ask themselves why? And as sons, we must always reply with why not? My grade school teacher per capita, is responsible for more of my ass whooping than any person alive, save my brother. She would listen in on the crazy ideas the fellas would concoct...and either split us up and call home, or quietly implement some version of said idea later on that week. It has taken me years to realize that mothers learn as much as they allow their sons to teach. What they come up with may not always bear fruit, but it will surprise you. So be the nourishing silt of a delta, fertilizing their hopes and dreams. Bend them to your will when necessary, but let them grow.

AUNTIE

Hi Auntie. Mothers and Grandmothers excluded, Aunties are the best thing ever. They cover for you like a sister, they'll scold you like a mother, and aren't afraid of living it up every so often. She is a Lady of the Court and a Queen in her own right. Her wisdom come from having been there, and living it. So when she gives advice, her words carry weight. And with that knowledge, she will gladly indulge herself with whatever new antics her Nieces and Nephews have cooked up, just as long as they are handling business.

Words to live by. We are all products of lessons past. Those who came before us have made the path, not easier, just more bearable. Yes, they were the first to see the green pastures of the hunting grounds, they were also the first into the River, and the first who dared to venture into the mountains. Some wonder off alone, most stayed with the pack. Learn all you can so that not if, but when you are called upon to lead, you go forward with the sole purpose of preparing others for what you know is coming. LEAVE. NO. DOUBT.
